Welcomes at the International Huertgenwald March

The Event

The International Huertgen Forest March, which is particularly intended to foster international understanding, is an event that is organized in commemoration of all the soldiers and civilians who lost their lives more than 60 years ago in the Huertgen Forest in one of the costliest battles of World War II.

The IHM is open to everyone and offers them the possibility to participate in it, regardless of whether they see it as a sporting event or a source of entertainment or information, or simply to be there. Everyone who is open-minded to the idea of international understanding is welcome!

The 29th International Huertgen Forest March

Next year as well, we will be focusing our efforts on building on last year’s success.

The extremely constructive feedback we have received – for example in talks with numerous people during the event – have shown that the impressions gained reflect both our ideas and the requirements posed on us in the run-up to it.

We are working to implement these ideas and tips as soon and as well as possible.

The 90th US Infantry Division Living History & Reenactment Group proudly presents:

"The US Army during the battle of the Hürtgenforest".

We build an exhibition and inform all interested persons to the above-mentioned topic.

The Event in 2012

Gladly more frequently look purely, because finally we try to put current information ready on this platform for you. Under REGISTRATION, you find your participation at the March (IHM).

Incidentally: The date of this event already stands solidly...

In nearly every year, the second saturday of october is reserved for us with autumn sun. In october 2008 and 2010 i.e. the weather was mild and sunny. Better, it could not have been for all participants. So, the event in accustomed nice atmosphere can take place - namely from the 12. until 13. Octobers 2012 - as an event for everyone.

We work honorary

The team to the international Hürtgenwald March consists of voluntary soldiers and civilians, which pursues the idea of the communication of all nations in the sense of the statement "reconciliation over the diggers" as well as the integration of all population groups nationally like international as their priority goal.
